Our Christmas Tree Festival this year, supporting London’s Air Ambulance, took place on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 December. Featuring around 40 beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and illuminated trees, they filled the church and made a spectacular display throughout the building, especially as daylight began to fade. This year’s theme was “The Symbols of Christmas”.
A Craft & Gift Fair was also held on the Saturday from 11:00 to 3:00pm.
A very big ‘thank you’ to all who took part in our four Christmas Tree Festivals and helped to make them such a success.
A very big ‘thank you’ to everyone – individuals, organisations, local businesses, schools, charities – who made our fourth Christmas Tree Festival such a success.
We are delighted to announce that a cheque for £3,500 has been sent to London’s Air Ambulance from the Festival.
Congratulations to everyone who decorated a tree. They were all wonderfully imaginative, and such a lot of work had gone into each of the thirty-six trees. Over 300 votes were cast in total for the “Favourite Tree”. The winning trees were:
in fourth place – Trinity Pilots’ “Brussels Sprouts” tree
in second equal – Wimbledon High school (“Candy canes”) and The Study (“Christmas spices”)
and the winner was Wimbledon Choral Society’s beautiful “Angels” tree.
With best wishes from Trinity church for a very Happy New Year.
As part of our Christmas Tree Festival, we are thrilled to announce that our own Eddie Henning and friends will be playing some Christmas Jazz songs at 6pm on Saturday 8 December.
Don’t miss this three piece jazz band providing a terrific close to our first day of the Festival.
Free – but donations to London’s Air Ambulance will be welcome.
Come along on Saturday 8 December from 11am to 3pm to support local crafters.
All your Christmas shopping under one roof!
