A very big ‘thank you’ to all who took part in our first two Christmas Tree Festivals and helped to make them such a success. In 2016 we were able to donate £3,325 to Samaritans.
Our Christmas Tree Festival this year, supporting Save the Children, takes place from Thursday 7 to Sunday 10 December. Featuring around 40 beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and illuminated trees, they will fill the church and make a spectacular display throughout the building, especially as daylight begins to fade.
Our thanks to Christine Wu, a local volunteer for Save the Children, who spoke during our Morning Worship on 26 November about the work of Save the Children in Britain and worldwide.
Taking part is easy – just buy, borrow or bling up a jumper! By taking part and donating you’ll be making the world better with a sweater and helping to save childrens’ lives. On Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day, all over the country, thousands of people will be donning their daftest, most wonderful woollies – all for a great cause. Don’t forget to wear yours next Sunday!
